Weather break…finally

Fishing has been awesome since the opener, however, the weather has been terrible…however, we’ve just had two days in a row where the weather has been wonderful and better yet, the fishing stayed great.6-19-10-dewey-overduyn-75-lb-25-in-cuttbow-on-silver-mepps-in-middle

6-19-10 Dewey Overduyn catches Yellowstone Cutthroat Rainbow Mix (Cutbow) on a beautiful afternoon of fishing in the middle of Henry’s lake on a Mepps spinner. Later the wind picked up for about an hour and was calm again for some evening fishing. This was only one of a good harvest that Dewey and his crew brought in. Overall the fishing has been great on Henry’s this year, but the weather has been tough. And although the size of fish has been slightly down, the amount of fish caught has been way up.

That was the biggest trout I have ever caught. It took in between 10 to 15 minutes to land. We spent 12 to 15 hours on the boat and the fishing was awesome all day. We didn’t want to get off the lake. We had two days like that.

Dewey takes care of the maintenance at Logger Creek so I was stoked to see his birthday-vacation was fruitful!! Way to go! Bring any home to share with the staff? LoL. ~ Renee
